Strategy Guide

Overview

The basic method this strategy is to control the choke point in the center of the map. This works best when both members of the team gain control of their side before the enemy does. This prevents the enemy flanking the player that does gain control of their side, stopping the enemy from cutting the reinforment line to the front line. If the enemy does flank, it is more than likely the second enemy will attack the front line from both sides, meaning both players will loose control of the middle. The middle is essential on this map, as the wreckages in the middle of the map will allow you to upgrade your mass extractors to t2.

This strategy works fairly well, but if at anytime the enemy does something unexpected, you need to improvise, deal with it and then move back to your original plan if possible. Don't stick to the same script each time, you need to change your game plan as the enemy reveals his evil plans.

Setting Out

Follow the build order in the picture to the right. After the commander has finished this send him straight to the center choke point on your side of the map. Here he can claim wreckages as you need the mass.

The factory should be set to build 4 construction units as soon as it has been built.
After the factory has completed the 4 constuction units set it to the following build cycle:

  1. Two main factiontanks
  2. One artilary tank
  3. One Anti air tank

Set the factory wavepoint to the front line to support your commander. Make sure you move the anti air units to the side behind the wall slighly. This prevent them being destoryed by enemy fire. They also let the enemy see them on radar making them look like a threat to the front line when the enemy gets radar. Giving the enemy mis information or no information is the best way to win a game.

Get your contruction units to follow the build order to the right.

  1. Send this unit to build the last 3 extractors at your starting location, then send it to assist the second construction unit.
  2. This construction unit should go straight to the hydrocarbon power plant and build it. Then set it to create 3 land factories adjacent to the hydrocarbon power plant. After this you will want to build at least six power plants around the factories.
  3. Build the two mass extractors at the back of the base and send it to assist the second extractor.
  4. Let it build the front two extractors, and then send it to the midle of the map to build a radar, and then the 3 mass extractors on your side.

The factories built by the hydrocarbon power plant should follow the same build order as the 1st factory. Set the wavepoint to the front line to support the commander. Like before, hold back the anti units so they dont become cannon fodder.

Upgrading the Mass Extractors

As soon as your energy income can handle it, start upgrading 1 mex at a time. The contruction units at the main base should build another factory and set it to upgrade to t2. They then should start helping the mexes upgrade, or by building more power plants. you will want to upgrade as many extractors as you can as fast as you can. The commander should be claiming the resources on the front line while fending off the enemy. Dont let your commander claim more resources than you can use, as you don't want to waste the mass. If you think you will loose the mass to the enemy comm, then claim like crazy.

Your mass extractors may want to build mass storage around the t2 mass extractors. This will increase mass production as well as let your comm claim more wrreckages faster.

As soon as your t2 factory is finished, pump out 6 or so t2 engineers and get them to build a t2 power plant. They will need to build more power plants as your usage increases. I recommend you build about 4 in total around a t2 shield.

Air Support

Air support isnt always necessary on this map. If the enemy is cybran or seraphim, you may want to get a lot of interceptors in case of experimentals fly over and ripping / nuking your base. Start by building just one air factory and scouting the enemy. If you think you will need air support build two more air factories and churn out interceptors. If he has no anti air, send in the bombers. Stop making them when he starts getting enough anti air units, otherwise you are just wasting mass.

Remember to build a Landing pad to repair and refuel aircraft.

Teching Up

By now you should have 1 t2 factory. Set it on a build order of offensive units. Add in a shield / radar jammer unit depending on the faction you are playing. One by One start upgrading your other factories to tech 2. You can do more than one at a time, depending on your current income and the ammount of units at the front line. Don't let your front line get to low on units it will entice the enemy to attack. Once they are all tech 2, start upgrading them to tech 3 one at a time as your resoruce can handle it.

Defending the Front line

If at any time you have spare mass or energy income, your should upgrade your commanders shield/regen and primary weapon. If at any time the front line starts to get intense, retreat your commander back to where the anti air units are.

Upgrade your commanders building cababilites and start building some shields and radar jampers near the front line. Dont build any point defences. Its better to send more units to the front line that using poing defence. If you have an excess of mass and energy, you should be upgrading mexes and factories.

Attacking

If at any time, you find you have more units at the front line than he has between the front line and the choke between the two enemy bases, then attack the two mass extractors in front of the choke point. If the enemy doesn't retaliate, send in an engineer and build them. You can send in your commander to build them, but make sure he has some help. Especially anti air.

Leave the units by the mass extractos you stole. Send in the units that have arrived at the center chokepoint and sweep the enemies side of the map. Your radar should help you out with this. Retreat you comm back to your side of the map with his anti air units.

Keep sending in more units toward the enemy base. If you are still at tech one, retreat if you run into a commander. Else attack. If you built some bombers, send them in. Hopefully your team mate has done something simular and is attacking from his side of the map.
